The mission

To provide tax and legal advice and support to internal clients of OneLife, in order to secure the legal and tax environment of the undertakings of the OneLife Group, ensure the tax and legal duties with respect to business of OneLife are duly fulfilled and provide support with respect to corporate duties.

Main objectives of the role

  • Drafting, reviewing and updating various business or corporate-related agreements (such as distribution agreements, investment management agreements, custodian agreements, service agreements, share transfer agreements, pledges and assignments, power of attorneys, etc.)
  • Contributing to the development and/or review of insurance products and ensuring their legal, regulatory and tax compliance
  • Ensuring the legal and tax follow-up and maintenance of OneLife’s existing book of business (mainly in core markets) by providing support to internal stakeholders
  • Providing support to internal stakeholders (departments) on various business and corporate legal matters
  • Analysing files (legal aspects) related to the onboarding and maintenance of non-traditional assets
  • Reporting on activities in general, in accordance to modalities agreed with management
  • Coordinating and/or contributing to projects, particularly in relation to legal and regulatory changes, by providing accurate analysis, follow-up and implementation solutions
  • Managing and advising on complaints or disputes with third parties, which could lead to legal proceedings or actions
  • Drafting, reviewing and updating internal policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Ensuring legal and tax watch on OneLife’s core markets
  • Providing internal (technical) trainings

Profile of our Future Teammate

  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in insurance / banking sector or in a law firm
  • Active listening and good communication skills
  • Able to adapt to different level of stakeholders
  • Open to multicultural and multilingual diversity
  • Capable of working independently as well as within a team
  • Problem solver and solution oriented
  • Fluent French and English (written and spoken).
  • Additional European languages are an asset
  • Tax knowledges is considered as an advantage
