OneLife is a Luxembourg life insurance company specialised in cross-border financial planning solutions for wealthy clients across Europe and beyond. To support our growth, we are looking for the right candidate to join our passionate IT department, in the Business analysis and testing team.

The open position is primarily focused on Business Analyst.

Main objectives of the role

Position Overview:

The Business Analyst within the IT department (Business and Testing Team) serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical teams (internal/external teams). They are responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of both business and technical aspects, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
  • Process Analysis: Evaluate existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Solution Design: Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and IT solutions.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
  • Testing Support: Assist in the development of test plans and test cases, and participate in testing activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management activities by communicating changes, providing training and support, and ensuring smooth transition to new processes or systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks associated with proposed solutions, and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure that IT solutions comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.

Profile of our future teammate

  • Proven experience (2-5 years) as a business analyst, preferably in an IT environment. A first experience in Life Insurance industry is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data and business processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools and techniques (process and data modeling),and requirements elicitation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
